Position will be teaching:  Contemporary Environmental Issues Day(s) and Hours: TBD.

We will work with the candidate who is selected to offer the course on a day and time that fits their schedule. Class must meet in person, on campus, once a week for 3 hours a week or twice a week for an hour and a half. The class begins the week of January 23rd and meets weekly (excluding breaks) until May 15th.


Course Description: Through the study of cutting edge global environmental problems, students learn information and develop the analytical skills necessary to make informed personal and societal decisions about the environment.

Minimum Requirement and qualifications:

  • Master's degree is required in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology or a related field.
  • Prior teaching or presentation experience is desirable.
  • Evidence of experience in the field is beneficial.
  • Ability to teach the class from start to finish with college level students
  • Ability to design and administer assessments to measure student learning.
  • Ability to challenge students in critical and creative thinking.
  • Ability to advance students' communication skills through course format
